God continues to bless us through Isabel's condition.
- Since 6:00 pm yesterday Isabel has been off all sedation. It will take some time for this to wear off.
- Isabel remains stable, although still in a coma.
- She is off all antibiotics and anti-seizure medication.
- The neurosurgeon said Isabel is past the swelling stage for her brain and wants to see her up in a chair.
- Isabel is beginning to show slight signs of spontaneous movement (mouth, foot and legs) and drawing back from painful stimuli. We are reminded by the staff we are looking at a long (months) and slow process of recovery.
- Isabel will begin ventilator trials to see how much breathing she initiates.
- We do not know yet what Isabel is able to do and may not for a while.
Prayer requests:
- Isabel would come out of her coma and communicate with us.
- Isabel would not need to rely on the respirator much longer.
- We will hope in God and wait expectantly for Him and we will praise Him who is our Help and our God.
It is very humbling for me to be at Isabel's bedside and to pray with her at this amazing time in her life.
ReplyDeleteMay we all witness healing in her body and in her brain, and know it is by God's might and loving hand.
