I want to backtrack a bit and inform every one of Isabel's injury. Isabel ran a fever Mon. June 27, felt good on Tues. and by Wed. had developed an earache and a headache. I treated it as a virus and attributed the headache to her hypothyroidism, however by Sat. morning the headache still persisted and she had had loose stools through the night. She vomited around 9:30 a.m. and by 9:50 was unresponsive. We took her to the emergency room where they tested for meningitis(which was negative) and soon after did a CT scan and found bleeding in her brain with clotting. She was quickly transferred to St. Clare Hospital where she underwent hours of diagnostic testing. The neurosurgeon diagnosed her with pan sinus venous thrombosis. Look it up! We've been told she simultaneously had two different kinds of strokes.
Presently she is in a coma and we are waiting and watching while her brain rests from this great trauma. Isabel no longer needs blood thinners and continues to show modest improvement-today she moved her head! The nurse did tell us to not get too optimistic or too pessimistic at this time because we are waiting for the brain to rest before it can do any work. We praise and thank the Lord for both of these accomplishments!
Please pray for us while we wait-this waiting is hard labor.
We need God to decide Isabel's future. Amen?
Thank you for your fervent and unceasing prayers they are the love of Christ to us.
"Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord." Psalm 27:14

We googled the doctor's diagnosis, and understand it less now than we did before. But we are praying anyway, although we are in Texas on vacation.
